Glasgow has a wealth of derelict buildings to use as reference for stuff like this, but coincidentally enough I mainly used a burnt-out house in Edinburgh for this, cos I saw it from a train and the train was stopped long enough to take some photos.
Felt the need to say I love seeing towns/buildings or just anything at all from angles one wouldn't usually get to see them from. Makes them a bit of an alternate world within ours and as such the perfect choice for your comic!
